Buying in a Buyer’s Market

Buying a home in a buyer’s market can be a great thing. You have a lot of inventory to choose from, and you have much more negotiating power than you do in a Seller’s Market. A buyer’s market is the perfect opportunity for you to get the house you want at the price you want. There is one thing you need to look out for though. In a buyer’s market there are more sellers out there and sellers are having to wait much longer to find a buyer. Eventually, that seller may become a bit desperate to sell, not all the time, but it happens. Barbara Corcoran wrote a great blog post about what to look out for when possibly dealing with a desperate seller.
